Paul founded Onda Origins with his brother Scott, and leads the company’s operations and growth. He has carried on his passion for the planet from his previous role managing strategy and development at Islandwood, an environmental learning center for youth. The original spark for Onda comes from Paul’s time leading tours at the edge of Costa Rica’s fabled Monteverde Cloud Forest. There, he saw how skilled farmers grew coffee in ways that respected the environment and increased the quality of their crop, but that they were still getting short-changed by global commerce. Back in Seattle, Paul and Scott began to create a business model that reflects and rewards best practices in sustainable coffee through authentic, traceable buying experiences.
